Multiple members of the lab presented their research work on at the International Congress of the Aeronautical Sciences in Florence, Italy.

Two new members have joinded the AADL research group as M.A.Sc. students. 2Lt Hayden Midland has also joined the lab, she join us after finishing her undergraduate degree in aerospace engineering from RMC with first degree honours. Alex Lamey also join the lab after finishing his undergraduate degree in Mecatronics at University of Western Ontario. Both of them will be working on UAV design and manufacturing.

2Lt Felix Sim, Mr. Martin Alexiev and Dr. Peter Jansen presented their research in blown tubercles and their application to tilt-wing aircraft, cargo feeder aircraft demand models and network analysis of autonomous cargo aircraft in the Canadian Aeronautics and Space Institure AERO Conference, in Ottawa, ON.

2Lt. Dillon Hesketh, 2Lt. Felix Sim and Mr. Maurice Nayman presented their research work on bioinspired leading edge tubercles at the AIAA AVIATION 2022 Conference in Chicago, IL. During the conference we got invited to visit in a nearby airport the Gulfstream G-600 flight test aircraft and interacted with the flight test crew and engineers. Thank you Gulfstream!

Dr. Perez presented the work done with Mr. Jose Arnal on neuro-evolutionary control for optmal dynamics soaring trajectoriesries. Mr. Luke Peristy presented his research on aerial refuelling and wake modelling and flying qualities prediction. Other members of the group including Dr. Asad Asghar, 2Lt Alexi Levert-Beaulieu, and Mr. Mattias Mehta presented their research work on bioinspired leading edge tubercles applied to propellers, transonic wings and high lift systems respectively.
